The quilting is the whole bag. Rows of diamonds stitched into a padded panel across the front, the back and the flap, so the surface has depth to it instead of sitting flat. Press it and it gives, which is how you know the padding is stitched in rather than printed on. A gold chain runs along the front, threaded through the edging rather than laid on top of it. It catches the light when you move, and it is the reason this reads dressed rather than casual.
